Jan Brewer for President

It appears that the people in this country have had enough of the insanity coming from the government. We want somebody that walks the walk, not talk the talk. We want somebody that will do what WE want, not what the government wants. We want our freedoms back, we want our country back, we want our jobs back, and we want our money back too while we're at it. However, the silent conservative majority of this country seems to be walking around in circles sounding like an owl at night saying "Who? Who?" Who is going to save us? Who is going to help us? Who? Who?

The answer has been staring the country in the face ever since Arizona decided to lead the way back to our freedom when Governor Jan Brewer signed SB1070 into effect. She has been relentlessly attacked by nearly every left wing group in the country, yet she's been standing her ground and telling the Mexican government, OUR government, and the illegal alien support groups to basically go pound sand.

And the nation loves it, just ask anybody you see walking down the street and ask if they know who Jan Brewer is and how they feel about the stand Arizona is taking. I'll bet more people in this country knows that Jan Brewer is the Governor of Arizona than know that Joe Biden is the Vice President of America. Seriously, I mean it. I live in Tucson Arizona, just 60 miles away from the Mexican border. We get to see the border problem up close and personal here. We love Governor Brewer, in my eyes she's a female version of Ronald Reagan and if Mr. Reagan were alive to read this I'm 100% sure that he would agree.

I'll be the first to say that I don't know the "intricate details" about every little thing in her life, and I dont care really unless its a SERIOUS issue, but we can all be sure that if she decides to run the left wing will dig up every little scrap that they can use to blow out of proportion against her and plaster it all over the news and attack her at every opportunity with it. The left is already calling anybody who supports us racists even though it has nothing to do with race, its all about national security and stopping the absolute hemorrhage of money being spent on illegals. But that wont stop the left from trying to destroy our Governor with lies anyway. Their incredibly low level of insults are getting very old very fast with us. The thinking people in Arizona see it for what it is. Pathetic, that's what.

Tell me truthfully, if Governor Brewer was a Democrat do you think the left would have such hate for her and for the people of Arizona? We all know the answer to that one. The answer is no, they wouldn't.

Even though I'm too old now to qualify for active duty service in our military, if Governor Brewer were to call upon all able bodied citizens to defend the border I would join in a heartbeat. The people in the rest of the country doesn't see all of the times Governor Brewer is in the local Arizona news, but if you were to see it you would see a woman that cares for the PEOPLE of Arizona, not for the Arizona political machine, and especially not for the Washington political machine. Personally I think that if she were to be elected and have to move to Washington she would feel the need for a shower every 5 minutes, at least I would anyway.

She has principles, she has GUTS, she can take the pressure, she cares about the people in her state, and she knows how to make it better for Arizona overall. The only problem is, the government wont let her do it, they wont let us enforce our border and deport our illegals which would get us out of debt. Instead the people in Washington wants Arizona to keep falling deeper into debt caused by the costs of all the illegal aliens in the state for some unknown insane reason (personally I think its to attract voters for the side that wants them in), to the point that they are SUING us to allow for the unimpeded flow of illegals to go unchecked. Everybody knows the national security issue of our open border so there is no need to go into detail about it here.

As far as the issue of the cost of deporting them goes, it wont be much. The illegals are already deporting THEMSELVES (to other states instead of back to their home countries unfortunately). You see, if you make it hard for them to be able to live here (such as hard crackdowns on people that employ illegals and the stopping of the handouts) they will have no choice but to go back to their countries of origin because there will be nothing left for them here to make a living on. The free ride has to stop, we just plain cant afford it anymore (as if we ever could have in the first place). Every job that an illegal has is one less job for one of us, and as everybody knows, we need every job we can get right now. It has nothing to do with hate or racism, it has everything to do with this countries continued survival. Period.

If we were to rid our state of all the drain from its money supply caused by the illegals our state would not be in debt. Thanks Washington. For nothing. And thanks for adding to the financial burden of our state in legal fees because of your insane lawsuit too.

If Jan Brewer were to announce that she's running for president against our current president I think her victory at election time would resemble the election result of Reagan vs. Mondale. We were promised hope and change. We received the change all right, but not the hope. Lets hope that Governor Brewer decides to run. The whole country needs to start "putting the bug in her ear" so to speak, meaning, she needs to know just how many people there are in this country that are "closet Arizonans" and want her to lead the whole country out of darkness like she's trying to do for us in Arizona. The country will see just how much we love her when she wins the governorship. The "points spread" between Governor Brewer and her Democrat opponent in November will most likely be staggering.

We need to vote for her if she decides to run for office, for the sake of our freedom AND FOR OUR BORDER SECURITY if nothing else.....

VIVA ARIZONA, JAN BREWER FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012!!!

GP.... I certainly would like to hear what Jan Brewer has to say regarding national issues. I personally think she has the guts for a good run. Besides illegal immirgration I would like to know what her views on finance reform, healthcare reform, foreign affairs etc...

If she answers the way I believe she will she'll have my vote...

Besides being for border security I know for a fact that she supports the second amendment. I'm a gun collector just so everybody knows. Governor Brewer recently signed a law that got rid of the need to have a licence for concealed carry (only 3 states are like that), and she also recently signed a law that allows any Arizona citizen to BUILD and SELL their own guns within the state! Did the country see THAT in the news? Nope. It would help to further our Governor's great image as a patriot and we cant have that, no sir. Unfortunately the gun build law doesn't include machine guns, Federal law over rides the allowing of that. Thanks Feds. I'd love to be able to build my own machine gun without having to worry about being hauled off to jail for it.

Only the government is allowed to get new machine guns, the public is left stuck with being able to only buy old machine guns that were manufactured before 1986 (we can all thank the democrat controlled house and senate during the Reagan years for it by refusing to allow the Reagan tax cuts to go though unless he agreed to the machine gun ban and also to amnesty for illegals)...Because of that the prices for a pre-1986 machine gun has skyrocketed to the point that only the rich and the drug dealers can afford to buy them, and the paperwork and taxes you have to go through if you can you find one that you can afford in order to actually purchase it is pathetic....

.Anyway, I know her stand on the border and on guns, and so far she's two-for-two with me. :)

I don't think Arizona's gun control laws would be good in NY. Unfortunately that would be an open invitation for the criminal element to have these weapons. She would have to be able to seperate Arizona's need and geophraphy from the rest of the country. As I said I would like to hear more from her... see what she has to say when faced with questions.

Convicted criminals are not allowed to have any guns and they cant build them or sell them here either, that part was covered in the laws we passed thankfully....We want our gun rights for sure, but we know enough to not allow criminals to buy them, sell them, or make them...

Glad to hear that... I do hope that she decides to put her name in the mix come 2012. I want to hear more about what she has to say. What her specifics of fixing the economy, healthcare (getting rid of the forcing of health insurance by 2014), Social Security (or if not give me my money back), the housing market.... My bank (BOA) is refusing to even to think about modification for us, their answer to the request "We paid the government back", unemployment etc....

If she's talking about running I would love to hear what she has to say.

All Obama has to do is stop signing the bills that the lunatic congress puts on his desk and start signing bills that DONT do harm to the country or its economy and his popularity would come back...

However, the chance of him doing that is about as good as Jupiter colliding with the Earth...

We're screwed until they're gone, period...

          1.11 - "We the people"

The president is a byproduct of "we the people." I suppose there would be no pundit programs or hyped up news shows if journalism held "we the people" accountable for elections, for permitting crimes by politicians, and corruption. So, who is to blame, ultimately? There is a process - petitioning, filing, etc. If none of these things are done, corruption persists in government. Since this is a federalist republic with representation in Congress by the people, then these are decisions affirmed even through inaction and silence, by the people.

Patton's blog...hell, I'd probably even vote for this man. Tell it like it is General, you rock! I have seen first hand what the mexican influx can do to the construction industry much less all the other job trades. They work for peanuts to send it back to Mexico...bye bye cash and jobs. Stop them NOW! Keep our jobs and money in the US....we need more American made goods and stop relying on other countries for our financial security!

I disagree that Governor Brewer has what you claim. However, most men would rather eat raw hamburger than provide any just and proper credit to most women for their hard work. Jan Brewer is not unusual at all and likely she is not even as strong as other women in this country.

My mother could have run this country on a very tight budget and still accomplished its agenda without difficulty. But - she had far too much upbringing to lower herself and become crass and rude, two behaviors that many Americans value today. Quite strange.

Such limited scope America sets for itself. No wonder we're failing as a nation.

2.5 - because like most women, she was brick-walled from doing so. Men in politics can be especially cruel to women of intellect that might know more than they do about legal matters, politics, and domestic or foreign policy. Most play dirty. My family played fair.

              Take care.

2.4 - No offense, you are entitled to your opinion, however try not to limit you scope to only one woman's perspective. While I feel Governor Brewer made strides for women in the nation, many have before her and some after her. I also doubt very seriously that Governor Brewer has experienced a level of adversity that I have and still come out on top of the game.

Here's the effects of Tea Party Rule and it ain't pretty

A horrific budget deficit has been papered over with massive borrowing and accounting gimmickry, and the state may yet have to issue IOUs to employees and vendors. All-day kindergarten has been eliminated statewide, and some districts have adopted a four-day school week. Arizona's state parks, despite bringing in 2 million visitors and $266 million annually, have lost 80 percent of their budget, with up to two thirds of the parks now in danger of closure. The legislature slashed the budget for the Department of Revenue, which required the agency to fire hundreds of state auditors and tax collectors; lawmakers boasted that these measures saved $25 million, but a top official in the department estimated that the state would miss out on $174 million in tax collections as a result.
                  ...
It privatized the capitol building and leased it back from its new owner, an arrangement that brought in substantial revenue but over time will cost Arizona far more. The legislature has sold off numerous other state properties at bargain prices, and has put up future lottery revenues as collateral on a $450 million loan. Meanwhile, Arizona removed more than 300,000 adults from state health coverage and terminated one health-care program for 47,000 poor children. Funding was slashed at the agency that deals with reports of child abuse and neglect, and also at Children's Rehabilitative Services, so that parents of children with cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, and a number of other conditions are now required to pay 100 percent of treatment costs.
                  ....
These cuts, in combination with the sale of state assets (which raised more than $700 million) and the securitization of the lottery, plugged a massive hole in next year's budget. But the deficit for 2011 is already projected to be at least $1 billion and possibly double that, on a total budget of only $9 billion. The situation will only worsen from there, as federal stimulus money dries up and the state runs out of short-term sources of cash. "Could we cut our way out of it mathematically?" Dennis Hoffman, an economist who has forecast revenue for Arizona governors since 1983, mused when I asked him about the crisis. "Anything is possible on paper, but for practical purposes it can't be done, unless you want to start releasing prisoners, shutting down universities, and eliminating extracurricular activities in the schools. We've already had a $2 billion haircut over the past two years. Try another $2 billion and see what the state looks like."

                  She is a failure.

Ummm...you mean the way California is issuing IOU's? I wasn't aware that they were under "TEA Party Rule", I thought California was supposed to be a Blue State.

But I agree, the financial effects of having the state flooded with illegals have been disastrous for Arizona...hence the reason that they felt they had to pass SB1070...maybe California should try doing something about their own illegal immigration problem and they wouldn't need to issue IOU's for tax refunds.

                  Merliz and Patton,

The legislature slashed the budget for the Department of Revenue, which required the agency to fire hundreds of state auditors and tax collectors; lawmakers boasted that these measures saved $25 million, but a top official in the department estimated that the state would miss out on $174 million in tax collections as a result.

They are NOT like CA or MI where I live. We all have budget woes due to a lack of revenue coming in to the state treasuries, it's how we deal with it. In AZ they are making matters worse. Read the quote above. They are cutting state employees and saving $25 million today, yet next year the state is going to miss out on the $174 million those employees brought in.

This is as dumb as the people who say get the gubmint outta Medicare.

Jan is going to fail, wait and see.

If you think that saving tax collectors and auditors is a good thing then I have no idea what to say to you.

In case you missed it the first time, if we get rid of our illegals we wont need the money.

What in the hell is wrong with catching people who cheat and break laws? What is paying taxes, not lying and breaking laws a liberal thing now days? Did you all go a bit overboard with your Tea protests and quit paying taxes? Sheesh

I will not pay your taxes, I pay my own. What? Are you a tax cheat?

I am a liberal and there is nothing wrong with tax and spend. It is called paying for what you want. I personally like Social Security and pay that tax. Same with others. It's called funding programs/ on the budget/ paid for/ not adding to the deficit. It's called paying for a government to provide services we the people need and use.

Now I could be a Republican, you know a person who spends without paying for it at the same time cuts taxes. Now that is freaking crazy!!! Almost as crazy as terror babies! Oh..wait, that was a Republican idea too. Oops, my bad.

And do not give me the ole stimulus wasn't paid for crap. Bush's TARP wasn't either and both helped the economy.

Oh, get off your partisan high horse. Reality is totally different.

Did you know Clinton signed into law a time limit for welfare benefits? Yeah, 5 years or less in a life time. @!$%#ing Democratic leaches!!!

OH and it was paid for too!!!! Didn't add to the budget. That's why he left a surplus for Bush. Clinton balanced the budget!

BTCO.... did you know that if you provide proof to Dept. of Social Services that you've actively been looking for a job, but have not been offered a job those benefits can be extended INDEFINITLY!... Go read the web sites.... they'll spell it all out... and the only thing you have to do is provide a list of Companies that you applied for whether they be via direct application, internet application or store kiosk....

                      V,

Yes, the woman WAS a train wreck in this particular venue, but how can you or anyone else correctly judge her overall aptitude for leadership simply on this one instance? People are not infallible, including politicians on either side of the spectrum...I'm certain with research you will find instances of publicly aired "Brainfarts" from the left and the right. I was embarrassed for this woman, but I will say that I have heard many other interviews between her and the media during which she was quite articulate. Would you forever stereotype a family member for making the same mistakes?

Well, if anything, now ya know what its like for a conservative on the vine...We dont have to violate anything and yet our posts get collapsed and deleted all the time....It sucks, dont it?

Anyway, I'll actually agree with you on your post that I just restored, it was a horrible showing...I've never seen her look so bad on TV...She's never been like that on local TV out here, ever...Something was wrong, for real...She should have at least said "no comment" to the liberal viper reporters that were trying to nail her on the headless body thing (they know they cant win on immigration with the country, so now its time to attack the messenger)....She's right for ignoring the question (I would have too because I know its only being asked to make me look bad by the other side), but she still should have at least said no comment if nothing else...Either way, it was still a terrible showing...But I'll accept a terrible stage performance if it comes with effective governorship....So far she's been shining bright in that department...

As long as she keeps doing what THE PEOPLE OF ARIZONA want she can stumble and freeze all she wants when she speaks, we'll give her a pass on it...

We already know what a smooth talker w/a teleprompter can get us...

I'll take terrible speech skills and decent leadership instead please...

Hope things are doing well with you. By the way, have you heard anything on the amount of donations accumulated for the fund to help AZ fight the feds on the 1070 issue? I donated, and hope that a few million others did too.

                        Regards.

So far so good with me, how about you?... I think the legal fund has around a million or two in it now, I'll google it later and see what comes up...I donated to it also...Man, I was really hoping for a better showing on TV from our governor yesterday (especially after the article I wrote)...She's never been like that on TV before...That's ok though, as long as she keeps doing her job as well as she's been doing she can stumble and freeze on camera all she wants, even if she still thinks there's headless bodies out in the desert... ;) ...There's bodies of illegals laying out in the desert for sure, but the ones we're finding so far still have their heads as far as I've heard anyway...If they ever DO find a headless body out here I wonder if it'll get reported or will it be hushed up by the media?

Anyway, I still stand firm in my belief that she's the right person at the right time to lead this state, and hopefully this country too, especially if she can get those speaking blunders smoothed up some...

Maybe she should get a teleprompter....

                            • She lives off of federal monies while railing against the entitlement state
                            • She was not voted into office
                            • She owes her position to Obama
                            • She blames the media for her own actions
                            • She refuses to debate or discuss real issues in a debate
                            • She is a one trick pony

Who stands to profit from 1070?? Jan Brewer and her cronies would, that's who.

If 1070 is implemented all those illegals arrested will end up in privately owned state prisons, where the prison for profit investor group ( that includes John McShame) will rake in millions.

Illegal immigration is way down in Aridzona ... the lies about those numbers are way up. Brewer is on the front line in perpetrating those lies. The headless corpse lie is just one of them

Sorry, but I can see that being part of the 30% minority that doesn't agree with Governor Brewer isn't sitting well with you....Get ready to feel like that for a long time, she's gonna win the Governorship....If the numbers of illegals are going down here its all thanks to Governor Brewer and Sheriff Joe Arpaio...Remember the news about the illegals leaving Arizona for other states because they were in fear of the law being enforced?...How convenient for you to forget THAT little detail, hmmm???....THATS the reason for any drop in the numbers of illegals here, it has nothing to do with anything Obummer has done...

The number of illegal immigrants are down everywhere in the nation...You see ... they come here for work and your idiot in Chief, Bush has solved the illegal immigration problem by causing a major depression with no work for anyone. When there are no jobs available they don't come here...get it?

The Aridzona republicons and Brewers lies are created to scare the populace into legislation that will make those liars a good deal of money. She is a one trick pony and thats all her trick is about.

Its probably a picture of her before the libs started biting...

That's ok though, you have the democrat beauty queens Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton on your side...Nancy Pelosi looks like Cruella Deville and Hillary reminds me of Chucky, you know, that evil doll from the movies....

You're just mad that the REAL beauty, Sarah Palin, is a repub instead of a dim, admit it....

The "beauty "of Sarah is that she thinks she has it all figured out and she has the intellect of a garden slug.

Republicon dupes like Pattern will follow that milf, box of rocks, to the end because it seems their little head is doing all the thinking for the big head.

I only hope they are smitten with her enough to run her in 2012...that would be a dream come true.

Harvard law debating the Wasilla PTA ....if only that could happen...You betcha ,wink, wink...

43...Before ya go into a schpeel about me acting my age or something my responses are the result of the "training" I have received from being on the vine for over a year now...Meaning, be battle ready at all times (but hope for peace every now and then)...So far I haven't seen much peace goin on out there...

Besides, sometimes the "battle" can be pretty fun... ;)

If its worded right that is, no need for hard core insults....

Have any of you ever heard a stream-of-conciousness statement from Jan Brewer? A non scripted, from the heart statement that doesn't contain MSM buzz words? She tried a short while ago on live TV, and it didn't go very well. The equation for jan brewers existance is as follows.

                                J = SP - R

                                J=Jan Brewer

                                SP=Sarah Palin

                                R=Rack

If all you care about is someones speaking ability then its no wonder this country is in the mess its in...Arizona cares about results, not how good one talks...She still has 70% of the country behind her, the freeze up on camera didnt affect her ratings one bit...Too bad for you, huh lib??...Your attacks didnt work...Insults without substance....Its all you have...

Inability to articulate ideas is a big deal.

In math class, if i get the right answer, but cant explain how i got it, the teacher rightfully assumes someone told me the correct answer. This is something conservatives so often forget when listening to these buzzword droping talking heads that are so successful in their party.

Jan brewer knows most americans are terrified of this invasion from the south, and rightfully so. She has no idea why. Her entire platform is based on standing on the majority side of hot button issues, not understanding the intricacies of them. Her inability to speak in complete sentences speaks volumes (pun intended) about whats going on between her ears.

And if you take Obummers teleprompter away you get 57 states and a stumbling, bumbling speech...We all saw it...So, tell me again, who has nothing going on between their Howdy Dudey ears?

If you're trying to say Jan Brewer has a more complete understanding of the issuses facing our country than Barrack Obama, agree with him or not, you're lying to yourself.

If you think disliking Jan Brewer makes me a 'lib', its no wonder the country is in the mess it's in.

Brewer wasn't put in place to handle the country's problems, she's going to be elected to handle Arizona's problems...She doesn't have advisers telling her whats going on with foreign affairs and such like Obummer does, so of course she isnt gonna know as much as Obummer does about those issues until she gets those kinds of advisers (and Obummer's teleprompter)...

How soon we seem to forget how well she did on TV against Obummer and Caulderon without a teleprompter, so therefore your vicious attacks on her over this one bad moment on her speaking ability have no real base to stand on....

                                Nice try anyway libs....
